Emma Lou Fairchild

Emma Lou Fairchild, 83, of Irving, Texas, formerly of the Bodcaw area, died Saturday, April 17, 1999, in Irving.

Mrs. Fairchild was born January 6, 1915, in Nevada County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Irving and the Order of Eastern Start Chapter 777. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Fairchild, and by two sons, David Fairchild and Terry Fairchild. A sister, Maudie Miller of Bodcaw, passed away Sunday (see following obituary).

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Cynthia Fairchild of Arlington, Texas; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Fairchild of Roanoke, Texas; five grandsons, Nathan Fairchild, Mike Fairchild, Jason Ditto, Chris Ditto and Ian Fairchild; one sister Mable Walden of Hope; a brother, Warren Almand of Magnolia; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth L. McCutchen and Zel Stultz.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 19, at Union Baptist Church in Bodcaw with burial in Union Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
