Mildred Guthrie DeLamar

Mildred Guthrie DeLamar, 76, of Prescott died Sunday, April 18, 1999, in Hope.

Mrs. DeLamar was born on November 27, 1922, in Prescott to Martin and Mildred Pittman Guthrie. She was a housewife, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Prescott, a graduate of the University of Arkansas, member of Pi Beta Pi and leader of the Nevada County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include her husband, B.A. DeLamar of Prescott; one son and daughter-in-law, James H. and Terri DeLamar of Sherwood; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sarah Catherine DeLamar of Dallas, Texas, and Mary Guthrie and Jim Bob Byrd of Bailey, Colo.; one brother, Dr. Jim Guthrie and his wife, Virginia, of Camden; one sister, Frances Whitaker and her husband, Deck, of Corpus Christi, Texas; and three nephews and three nieces.

Funeral services were Tuesday, April 20, at First United Methodist Church of Prescott with Rev. Jim Lenderman officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
