M. Opal Loe, 77, of Rosston, died Tuesday, August 28, 2001, at the Magnolia Hospital in Magnolia.

She was born July 17, 1924, in Hope.

Loe was preceded in death by her parents: Will and Mae Irvin; sister: Murel Rutherford; brother: Al Irvin; grandson: Tim Cook and son: Paul Loe.

She is survived by her husband: John Loe of Rosston; one son: Jim Loe of Houston, Tex.; four daughters and son-in-laws: Maxine and J.D. Miller of Magnolia; Lucille and Gearry Cheatham of Magnolia; Zelma and James Hudgens of Magnolia; Bobbie and Jimmy Kitchens of New Carlisle, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Teresa Loe of Rosston; sister-in-law, Bobbie Irvin of Taylor; 25 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2001, at The Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Mac Russell and Rev. Wayne Langston officiating with burial in The Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Stamps.

Visitation was from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The Corinth Baptist Church Building Fund.
