Wilburn E. Willis, 83, of Prescott, died Saturday, August 18, 2001, at his home.

He was born November 23, 1917, in Emmet, to Jeter H. and Bedia Hartsfield Willis.

He was a retired rural letter carrier of Prescott Post Office.

He was a deacon and member of First Baptist Church in Prescott. An Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lola Marie Barber Willis, who died in Feb. 1997.

His survivors include: one son, Glen Willis and Joyce, of Batesville; one daughter, Gail Bobo of Wake Village, Texas; two sisters, Marvel Williams of Springhill, Louisiana and Alla Mae Skinner of Amherst, Ohio; two grandchildren, Robin Britt and Todd of Royal and Mandy Willis of Hot Springs; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Jordan Britt.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 21, 2001, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Milton Cowling and Rev. Jimmy Hull officiating.

Burial in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Texarkana, 803 Spruce, Texarkana, Tex. 75501, or to the First Baptist Church, 201 East Main, Prescott, Ark., 71857.
