Virgie E. JonesPublished Wednesday, April 21, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneVirgie E. Jones, 85, of Hope died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Christus St. Michael Health Center in Texarkana, Texas. Mrs. Jones was born February 14, 1914, in Hempstead County. She was a housewife and a member of Guernsey Baptist Church in Guernsey. Survivors include two sons, J.W. Jones of Hot Spring and Melvin A. Jones of Odessa, Texas; three daughters, Mary Rhinehart of Prescott, Joan Stoopes of Dallas, Texas, and Sue Daley of Hope; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday, April 17, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope with Rev. Larry Banks and Rev. Robert McCarver officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope.
