Billie Pal WhitmarshHerndon Funeral HomePublished Wednesday, August 8, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Billie Pal Whitmarsh, 69 of Hope, died Friday, July 27, 2001 in Prescott. Mrs. Whitmarsh was born February 20, 1932 in Nevada County to Grady Powell and Willa Corretta Beavert Cox. She received a Bachelor and Masters Degree from Henderson State University. She was a school teacher for 38 years and the 1st original principal of Beryl Henry School for 23 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hope and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a retired principal of Beryl Henry. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Woodruff of Hope; two nephews, Dr. Stephen Edward Whitmarsh and Donald Bradley Whitmarsh and a niece, Pat Whitmarsh Farr and numerous cousins and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 29 in the Herndon Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Cumbie and Rev. Larry Byer officiating.
