Heavily tinted windows led to the arrest of two Prescott men recently.

According to court records, on July 12, around 7:45 p.m., Arkansas Highway Police Cpl. Johnny Vickers was working stationery radar on Highway 53 north of Bodcaw, when he saw a red Mustang with heavily tinted windows approaching.

He stopped the car, with the driver identifying himself as Orlando Green, giving his birthday as Nov. 15, 1972. The driver also gave false information for his driver's license and social security numbers.

Vickers ran a check on the numbers, with neither coming back to an Orlando Green.

He asked the passenger, Brown, for identification, and was told he had none with him.

Vickers made the two get out of the car, and saw an open can of beer in the floorboard on the passenger's side, near a green nylon bag, which contained a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana wrapped in plastic bags for delivery.

He placed both suspects under arrest, and searched the vehicle. Vickers found a .40-caliber handgun

near the nylon bag, and another plastic bag filled with a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana between the seats and center console. He also found a scale of the type normally used in the weighing of marijuana.

The two were taken to the Nevada County jail, where their true identities were ascertained as John L. Green, 30, and Rontarieo Brown, 20.

Green was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a class C felony carrying a sentence of 3-10 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000, possession of drug paraphernalia, also a class C felony, simultaneous possession of a firearm and drugs, a class Y felony, with a penalty of 10-40 years or life in prison, possession of a firearm by certain persons, a class D felony, with a sentence up to six years in prison and a fine up to $10,000, driving on a suspended license, criminal impersonation and excessive window tinting.

Brown was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, simultaneous possession of firearms and drugs, possession of firearms by certain person, minor in possession of alcohol and drinking in public.
