Roland George Raymond Meador, 90, of Bauxite, formerly of Prescott, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2001.

Meador was born on February 22, 1911, in Bluff City.

He was a retired equipment operator for 25 years at Potlatch Forests, a member of West Side Church of Christ for 40 years and a member of Bauxite Church of Christ for the last 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Johnnie Meador and two brothers, James Roy and Herbert Meador.

Survivors include his wife, Marion Estelle Meador of Bauxite; five children, David Gene Meador of Mabelvale, Geraldine Euzeba Wilson of Bauxite, Gary William Meador of Russellville, George Roger Meador of Kerens, Texas and Maxie Jane Walden of Cord; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 30, at the Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services at Bluff City Cemetery in Bluff City under the direction of Ashby Funeral Home, Inc. of Benton.
