Obie Franklin OdellHerndon Funeral HomePublished Wednesday, July 25, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Obie Franklin Peanut Man' Odell, 88, of Hope, died Thursday, July 19, 2001, in Hope. Odell was born March 7, 1913, in Arleene to Joe and Jeannie Graves Odell. He was a farmer and member of Central Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bertha Young. Survivors include his wife, Lillie Odell, daughter, Mary Hensley of Hope, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Sunday, July 22, at Ebeneezer Cemetery in Bluff City with Rev. Harold Freeman officiating under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home of Hope.
