Ardell McDonaldHorne Funeral HomePublished Wednesday, July 11, 2001 in the Gurdon Times Ardell McDonald, 87 of Gurdon died Tuesday, July 3, 2001. McDonald was the widow of Roy McDonald, member of Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon and was a retired school teacher for the Gurdon Public School System. She was born in Gurdon on July 15, 1913, to Burt and Mary Huffman Marks. Survivors include two sisters, Relda Jane Busby and her husband, Richard, of Center, Texas and Glendean Beard and her husband, Wallace, of Gum Springs; three sisters in-law, Georgia Duncan of Benton, Eva Marie Marks of Stratford, Okla., and Maria Marks of Gurdon, and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. McDonald was preceded in death by two brothers, Rea Marks and Raymond Marks. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, July 5, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with internment in Rose Hedge Cemetery. Memorials maybe made to the Beech Street Baptist Church, P.O.
