BoughtonMrs. Willie HooksPublished Wednesday, April 21, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune It's hard to tell about Arkansas weather. Is it spring or winter? We had frost Saturday morning. The graveyard clean up at Piney Grove Cemetery was well attended. The cemetery looks beautiful. Thanks to everyone that helped. Joe Mac Young had stint heart surgery in Little Rock Wednesday. Pete and Cathryn Jester (his in-laws) visited him Saturday. Cathryn spent Tuesday night with her grandchildren Bobby Joe and Breanna Young of Hope. Mildred Johnson is in Medical Park Hospital. She is having heart problems. Our son Willie Hugh spent Monday and Tuesday night with us. The men folks went turkey hunting. Willie Hugh heard and saw a gobbler, but didn't get a shot. They went fishing Monday afternoon and caught some fish. We were sorry to hear of the death of Aleene Horton of Little Rock. She was the wife of Emmett Horton. Billy Wayne House attended the funeral of his Aunt Allene Thursday and so did Pat Loe. Agatha Cowart of Idabel, Okla., spent Monday night with her mother Annie Mae Hooks. Mildred White spent several days with her son Marty White and wife and grandson Patton of Little Rock. I think she was accused of spoiling her grandson. Jeff and Carri Ridgell, Weldon and Laretta, Paul Ridgell and Ashley Beck had dinner Saturday with Herbie Ridgell after the cemetery working. Pat Loe visited her Aunt Chloe Orren Saturday. Other visitors were her son and his wife and Shorty Garner. Kelsey Wren, Tyler and Brooke Atkins spent the weekend with their grandmother, Kay Wren.
