Mrs. Alta L. Dorman Mullins, 94, of Hope, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at Medical Park Hospital.

She was born January 24, 1907 in Nevada County, to Green and Lola Purtle Dorman.

She was a housewife and mother and former cafeteria worker at Bodcaw Schools.

She was a member of the Bodcaw No. 1 Baptist Church in Bodcaw for more than 80 years and a former member of the Dorman Sisters Singers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Mullins, by one son Terrell Mullins, by one daughter, Vernice Arterbury and by one grandson, Alan Arterbury.

Survivors include: two sons: C.Q. "Moon" Mullins and Jeffie of Texarkana, Ark., William Mullins and Helen of Prescott; one daughter: Mary Hinton and Jack of Perrytown; one daughter-in-law: Jeweldene Mullins of Bedford; one brother: G.W. Dorman of Hope; four sisters: Ruby Vines of Bodcaw, Jude Allen of Bodcaw, Lola Mae Allen of Hope and Opal Barger of Arkadelphia; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at Bodcaw No. 1 Baptist Church, in Bodcaw with Rev. James Ross, Rev. Tom Stevens, Rev. Bobby Joe Wright officiating. Burial was in Bodcaw No. 1 Cemetery, in Bodcaw. Arrangements under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

The family received friends, Monday, June 25, 2001, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Bodcaw No. 1 Baptist Church in Bodcaw.
