Johnnie Louise Gage, 73 of Malvern passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Hot Springs County Medical Center.

Gage was born December 15, 1927, at Poyen to Johnnie Williams Ellis and Alma Lucindy Kemp Ellis.

She was a retired nurses aide and of the Assembly of God faith. She was preceded in death by her father, her husband, Earnest Dean (Buddy) Gage, three brothers, Wayne Ellis, Billy Ellis and Dwight Ellis.

Survivors include one son, Rickey Gage and wife, Beverly, of Malvern; daughters, Alma Guyse and husband, T.V., of Midland, Texas and Sharon Scheel and husband, William, of Traskwood; mother, Alma Kemp Ellis of Gurdon; brothers, Tommy Ellis and wife, Mary, of Gurdon and Ronnie Ells and wife, Sandy, of Malvern; sisters, Alma McCauley of Malvern, Diane Snyder and husband, Joe, of Hot Springs and Lavern Dyer and husband, Ray, of Gurdon, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16 at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Noel Morehead officiating. Burial followed in the Lono Cemetery by Atkinson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Travis Dyer, Gary Montgomery, Billy Heath, Jeff Robinson, Victor Goyne and Herbie Snyder. Honorary pallbearers were staff of the Hot Springs County Hospital Rehab Center.
