Copeland is interim center headBy John MillerPublished Wednesday, June 13, 2001 in the Gurdon Times Kevin Copeland, executive director of the Clark County Industrial Council (CCIC), has been appointed the interim director of the Southwest Arkansas Technology Learning Center. He will continue his duties as CCIC director, while the search for a full time director of the center goes on. "I'm delighted," Copeland said, "to have the opportunity for new experiences. The CCIC has sponsored the learning center, and it's only natural we should continue to help it grow." The center's focus will continue to be to serve the community, including industries and individuals in the region. Copeland takes over from Tim Stokes, who resigned the post recently. Stokes will be pursuing a career in higher education. CCIC President Brown Hardman assures the public the center will continue operations while the search for a new director is underway.
