Recordo Walker, 18, of Prescott, has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

According to court records, Prescott Police Chief Sam Reeder was dispatched to a disturbance call at the West Terrace Apartments Monday, June 4, due to a disturbance involving a firearm.

Reeder found the alleged victim, Alex Wilson, in the area of West 3rd and Pine streets carrying an aluminum baseball bat.

The bat was confiscated, with Reeder questioning the Wilson, who said the bat was for protection against Walker.

According to Wilson, Walker had threatened him with a handgun.

The incident reportedly began with Wilson walking a girl home, when Walker and another male, accosted them, calling Wilson names.

Walker reportedly took a handgun out of his clothing, showing it to the two and threatening Wilson.

However, Wilson and girl continued walking away from Walker and the other person. When they came to a house at First and East Olive, Wilson took a broom off the porch and chased Walker.

Walker, according to reports, left, with Wilson walking the girl to her house, where she gave him the baseball bat.

Wilson left, but met with Walker near West Olive and Second streets, where Walker reportedly fired the gun in the air and allegedly took a shot at Wilson.

Walker was found and arrested, charged with aggravated assault, a class D felony with a sentence up to six years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections and a fine up to $10,000.

Bond was set at $2,500 for Walker, who was ordered to have no further contact with Wilson.
