Lifenet classes heldPublished Wednesday, June 6, 2001 in the Nevada County PicayuneFor the second year in a row the Lifenet emergency training class was held in Emmet. And, also for the second consecutive year, the Emmet Vision Association (EVA), made sure those on hand were well fed. The classes were held at the Chuck Wagon, and included representatives from all of Nevada County's emergency services groups, such as: Pafford EMS of Hope, Nevada County Rescue Unit, Emmet Volunteer Fire Department, Bodcaw Fire Department, Prescott Fire Department, Medical Park Hospital, Delight Ambulance Service and Delight Fire Department. Three lucky people also won rides on the Lifenet helicopter, which was on hand to show its equipment and capabilities. Those getting to go up were: Stan Webber, Fred Kirenek and Katie Gilbert.
