I can't really decide what to do, but just to be safe I'm gonna leave my electric blanket on a while longer.

Neil and I had a pleasant surprise Saturday. Our niece and her husband, Sharon and Ed Leachman from Baton Rouge, La., a nephew, J.L. Dunn from Magnolia, and another niece, Janet Grace from Camden, dropped in for a visit.

Bobby, Sophie and Randy Taylor and Harvey and Faye Taylor had Sunday lunch with Betty and Jim Roberson.

Donald and Pat Ingersol had what I would call a real successful cookout at their home on Saturday. About 60 attended.

Shannon, David, Tyler, Kay, Casey, Darlene and Jerry Henderson attended the wedding of Bryan Henderson and Carla Burrow in England on May 19. The newlyweds spent Memorial weekend in the Redland community, getting acquainted with all relatives.

Tyler Henderson played in his first ballgame Friday night and yoiu would never guess who attended. Oh, yeah, Junior and Kay Hendrix.

Shady Grove Baptist Church had a nice day and cookout at Laurie and Bobby Pilgreen's Saturday. They have a beautiful place for a picnic and plenty of room for playing ball and fishing. About 40 attended.

Gaywyn and Gary Golden and Danny, Lisa, Kyle and Caley Pennington had lunch with George and Joy Cox on Memorial Day.

Randy, Charity, Jordon and Caleb Lowdermilk hosted a get-together Memorial Day. Mostly all family and local people. Out-of-town guests were Jim and Betty Roberson from Dallas and Chris and Ginger Meeks from Dallas.

I'm tired of all this nonsense about beauty being skin deep. That's deep enough. What do you want, an adorable pancreas?
