Boughton NewsMRS. WILLIE HOOKSPublished Wednesday, May 30, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Thomas and Dotty Jester spent three days last week vacationing in Hot Sprigs. They are also enjoying a brand new pickup. We had quite a bit of wind Monday night of last week. It blew sheet iron off our tractor shed. Jim and Leona Ballard came over to help Willie with the repairs and also they visited with us a while. We appreciate them coming and we enjoyed their visit very much. We were sorry to hear of the death of Thelma Brinks of Chidester. She was the grandmother of Lance Beaver. Lori and Bob Cummings attended the funeral. We extend our sympathy to Norman Gill over the death of his wife Friday and also to Frank Wilson over the death of his brother Malcom Wilson of Camden. Marty and Rita White, Payton and Bailey of Little Rock, Mildred White and Mary and Elaine Halliday attended graduation exercises of Britta Halliday Friday night in Gurdon. Marty, Rita, Payton and Bailey returned home with Mildred to spend the night. Wilma Freeman spent Sunday with Judy and Jim Jester. Friends of Elsie Jones' May will be sorry to hear she is very ill in St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana. Annie Mae Hooks is in Health South Rehab in Texarkana. Elsie Elmore attended a cookout at the home of Donald and Patricia Ingersoll Saturday. We enjoyed having Neil and Hazel Meeks visit us a while Thursday night.
