The First United Methodist Church of Gurdon will hold vacation Bible school June 4-7 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. daily. For more information contact Debbie Jones at 353-4469.

HSU Continuing Education will hold a class Basics of Investing,' at the Hoo Hoo Building in Gurdon on Tuesdays, beginning Tuesday, June 5, at 6:00 p.m. The cost will be $25. Instructor will be Gena Schuck. Contact director Johnnie Roebuck at (870)230-5478 if more information is needed.

Beech Street Baptist Church will hold vacation Bible school June 11-15. For more information call Beech Street at (870)353-4971.

The descendants of Albert and Nancy Presson Smith will hold a family reunion Sunday, June 10, at the Gurdon Municipal Building. There will be a potluck luncheon served.

Everyone is invited to go and to enjoy the fellowship.

Carrie Street Church of God and pastor Rev. Ivory Curry invite you to worship with them during their spiritual renewal revival May 30-June 1. Evangelist will be Betty L. Lemons of Hot Springs. Pianist and soloist will be Gwin Muldrew of Hope. For information call 870-353-2016.

Warren, Fretwell, McClure, and Easley families will hold a reunion Saturday, June 9, at 10:00 a.m. with a potluck luncheon at Gurdon City Park. Take lawn chairs and enjoy a visit.

The Smithpeters will hold a family reunion Sunday, June 3, at the home of Bill Smithpeters. His home is the second house on Dickerson Road off Highway 182. A potluck luncheon will be served. Be sure to take lawn chairs.

The Red River Baptist Associational children's camp will be June 25-28 at Camp Paron. Cost for each camper is $65. Camp director is Rusty Ross. Children who have completed third grade through sixth grade may attend. Call BSBC at 353-4971 for more information.

The Gurdon High School class of 1971 is planning its 30-year reunion. If you have addresses for graduates of 1971 call Dinah Buck at 353-4641 or Kathy Anderson at 353-3853.

The Red Springs Extension Homemakers Club meets every second Thursday of each month at the Gurdon Municipal building beginning at 10:00 a.m. Any interested person is welcome to attend.

The city of Gurdon reminds residents the storm sirens are tested every Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Sirens are not tested during inclement weather.

Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.

The Clark County Democratic Committee is holding a grand opening for its new headquarters on Friday, June 1, at 11:30 a.m. at 207 S. 7th Street in Arkadelphia. The public is invited.
