Bodcaw NewsALINE CLAUSPublished Wednesday, May 23, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Billy and Peggy Russell spent Mother's Day weekend in Laurel, Miss., with their son Jonathan and daughter-in-law Mandy. Friday night, May 11, they attended Jonathan's graduation from Southeastern Baptist College. He graduated with honors and received a bachelor of science in Bible with emphasis in pastoral ministries. He plans to attend New Orleans Seminary in Clinton, Miss. They returned home Sunday afternoon after attending morning services at First Baptist, Shady Grove, where Jonathan is pastor. Sunday was graduates day at our church. Those honored were Russ Carlton for college work and Bryan Townsend, Dustin Kee, Sara Powell and Marlena Allen. They received a Bible or other devotional book. Bobby Jean and Courtney Angel of Ashdown were in church. Our sick are improving some. Continued to remember them in prayer. Russ Carlton attending homecoming at Bluff Springs. He sang in the afternoon. Happy birthday to Bro. Tom and June Stewart. Happy anniversary to them on the 20th. happy birthday to Walker Flowers, Michelle Fielding, Michael Poindexter, Marie Tye Bill and Wilbur Poindexter and Christy Nevis.
