Florence Eva' Montgomery Jones, 88, of Prescott died Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at Hillcrest Care and Rehab Center in Prescott.

Mrs. Jones was born December 3, 1912, in Prescott to Otis and Bessie Barnes Montgomery. She was a former sales clerk for the Sterling Store for 30 years, a member of the garden club and the home extension club and member of the Fairview Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Everett Jones; her son, Harold Dean Jones; her brother, Ralph Montgomery, and her sister, Gladys Steele.

Cherishing her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Glynn and Shirley Jones of Hoffman Estates, Ill.; a daughter-in-law, Nora Jones Temple; three sisters, Mary Beth Jones and Doris Mousser both of Prescott and Emma Sue Zikoski of Bethlehem, Penn.; 4 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 19, at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel with Joy Callicott officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
