Dora Taylor Russell FitzgeraldBRAZZEL / OAKCREST FUNERAL HOME of HOPEPublished Wednesday, May 23, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Mrs. Dora Taylor Russell Fitzgerald, 86, of Hope died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. Mrs. Russell was born September 3, 1914 ,in Patmos to Adolphus Kelly and Maudie Pearl Dodson Taylor. She retired with 26 years as a sales clerk from J.C. Penney. She was a member of the Hope Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth G. Russell; three brothers, J.C. Dodson Taylor, Norman Taylor and A.B. Taylor, and one sister, Opal Taylor Sockwell. Survivors include her husband, Claude Fitzgerald of Hope; one son, Kenneth Garry Russell of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Jo Ann Russell Browning of Little Rock and Sharron Russell Coffman of Edmond, Okla.; one step-son, Larry Fitzgerald of Dickens, Texas; two step-daughters, Donna Carroll of Woodard, Okla., and Mozell Russell Skinner of Duncanville, Texas; one sister, Perna Belle Mason of Bodcaw; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and twelve step-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 17 at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope with Harley Sisson officiating.
