I am sure most people went to church Sunday, it was such a beautiful day. I did not go. I am still on the sick list. Freddie Dixon and his wife from Mineral Springs visited me Saturday afternoon.

Earl McKinney of Hot Springs died last week. Formerly of Rosston his funeral was Monday in Hot Springs. He finished high school at Oak Grove.

Oak Grove Baptist Church gave their pastor an appreciation Sunday. They say it was really nice. Rev. Parche from Stephens was in charge.

We had five students from our church to graduate last week. We are proud of them. That made our church a little weak.

Geffry Box will be going in the army.

Genna Burnett is staying with her granddaughter, Gloria Young, at the present. Her husband had both feet amputated recently.

Oak Grove Civic League will meet the first Tuesday of the month.

All pastors of Magnolia District Sunday church school convention will be held at Unity AME Church in Magnolia starting Wednesday July 27. Rev. James H. Giles will be in charge. On Thursday and Friday the young people's division will be in charge. The theme is The Great Commission.'
