Anyone who ever attended school at Cale and their family members are welcome. Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. A catering service will furnish the meal. The beautification committee of the Prescott/Nevada County Chamber of Commerce is working on a project and needs your help. Thirty empty gallon milk jugs are needed. If you have an of these you may drop them off at the Chamber office. If you have any questions call 887-2010. Gene Cloer and his wife Betty will be honored with a reception Sunday, May 27, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Prescott Church of Christ, where he was minister for the past 31 years. The Cloers are moving to Atlanta, Ga., where he will be involved in missionary work. The public is invited. The descendants of Frances America Billingsley and Abner Echols McGuire will holds its family reunion Sunday, June 3, at First Christian Church in Prescott. A noon potluck dinner will be served in the fellowship hall of the church, followed by an afternoon of visiting and reminiscing. All relatives and friends of the McGuire and Billingsley families are invited. The annual Mauldin reunion will be held this Saturday, May 26, starting at 10:30 a.m. at Gurdon Lake on Highway 67. Everyone attending should take a dish for potluck. Sweet Home Baptist Church, located 10 miles east on Highway 24, will have a three-night revival May 23, 24 and 25 at 7:30. Rev. Richard Dixon of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Nashville will be the evangelist. Commodities (peanut butter, beef stew, blackeyed peas, macaroni, green beans, corn, potatoes and pears), will be issued in Nevada County at the Senior Citizens Center in Prescott beginning Thursday, June 14. All commodity cards have expired and must be renewed by Tuesday, June 12. No card renewals will be done on June 13 or 14. The Laneburg Cemetery Association will hold its annual board meeting Monday, June 4, at 7 p.m. at Laneburg Baptist Church. All interested parties are urged to attend. Area Agency on Aging of Southwest Arkansas has scheduled a public hearing for Thursday, May 24, at 10:30 a.m. in the Camden Senior Adult Center located at 465 California SE in Camden. Agency personnel will discuss funding allocations, program adjustments, and program development activities for the second operating year of the approved three-year plan for community-based aging programs for the next fiscal year. Southwest Arkansas Workforce investment board's nominating committee will meet Friday, May 25, at 1:00 p.m. at Arkansas Rehab Services in Texarkana. Blevins High School class of 1951 reunion will be held at Western Sizzlin in Hope June 30 at 3:00 p.m. If you attended this class at anytime you are invited. For information call 870-777-4330. Descendants of the Allen Francisco family will have a reunion June 15 and 16 in Hope at Western Sizzlin. The annual meeting of the Red Hill Public Cemetery Association will be held Sunday, May 27, at 2:30 p.m. at Red Hill United Methodist Church in Chidester. The annual's children's day and homecoming will be held at Midway United Methodist Church Sunday, May 27. The children's program will begin at 10:30 a.m. with potluck at noon and singing in the afternoon. Everyone is invited to attend and singers also have a special invitation. A special coffee will be held at the Nevada County Picayune Thursday, May 31, between 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Everyone is invited to enjoy refreshments and to meet some special guests.
