College NewsPublished Wednesday, May 23, 2001 in the Nevada County PicayuneTimi Fox of Prescott received her post-graduate degree as a nurse practitioner Saturday, May 19, at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Amy Overton McCoy of Hope, formerly of Nevada County, also received her post-graduate degree during the commencement ceremonies held at Barton Coliseum. In all there were 87 individuals receiver their post-graduate degrees. Several students from the Prescott area have made Henderson State University dean's list and the honor roll for the spring semester. Andrew D. Almand, Laura V. Culpepper and Penny L. Inlow of Prescott were all named to the dean's list. Amber D. Arney and Amanda M. Inscore of Prescott and Lakesha R. Fort of Bluff City were named to the honor roll. To make the dean's list a student must have received a 4.0 grade point average for the entire semester. To be named to the honor roll a student must have received at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester. The Office of University Relations/Admissions at Henderson State University has announced that Rachel M. Adamson, a student at University of Arkansas Community College at Hope has been awarded the Community College Transfer Scholarship for 2001-2002. Recipients of this award must be transferring from a community college with a minimum of 60 transferable student credit hours or an associate's degree with a 3.00 grade point average based on a 4.00 system.
