Golden OldiesDORIS VANCEPublished Wednesday, May 23, 2001 in the Gurdon Times I am very glad that I am able to attend the center again. It is a wonderful place to go when you are all by yourself. Thursday of last week some of our ladies went to the Hot Springs Mall. Charlotte Shepherd and Royce Ann Barbaree went with them. We have several activities scheduled for the rest of May. Tommy and Dorothy Hays were at the center last Friday. Some of our members enjoyed square dancing with Tommy. Our members with May birthdays are Jean Peeples, Ross Carter, Ben Medcalf, Daryl Protratz, Vivian Taylor, Betty Jones, Reva Wingfield, Lila Franklin and Ileta Brown. Our homebound with birthdays are John Green, Arletha McPeak and Viola Ellsworth. Our membership drive is on going. We are sure if you would come at least once, you would find something that you like. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
