Classy Moments from Cabe Middle School

Published Wednesday, May 23, 2001 in the Gurdon Times

Beta Club members enjoyed a trip to Six Flags Over Texas. They will have memories that will be treasured for many years. This writer is not going to report on the "ice, water, shampoo" incident. The facts are not clear on that, so best left unsaid.

More than one hundred Cabe Middle School students went to Magic Springs to celebrate an increase in their standardize test scores. They had a great time and they're ready to go again.

However, those who remained in school had a day of this and that. Some found movies to be good, and other things. Christa Hopson, Steven Plyler, Amy Stiffler, Brant Weems and Franklin Smith had a time of fellowship, or maybe we should say a time to talk over previous days in school. Importantly, they were good kids who took advantage of the free time.' A big thanks to those students who took the flags down and folded them most properly.

Wednesday (today) the Student Council will conduct the last assembly for this school year. New officers will be installed. You are invited to attend at 10:00 a.m. in the cafeteria.

Remember Friday, May 25, at 6:30 p.m. the eighth grade graduation will be held in the high school gym. You are also invited to attend this very special occasion for those eighth graders.

School is almost over, time is running out, but as long as we are here, we will be making those Classy Moments at CMS.
