Retha Briggs StanleyWILKERSON FUNERAL HOMEPublished Wednesday, May 16, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Retha Briggs Stanley, 57, of Booneville died Monday, April 30, 2001, in a Fort Smith hospital. Mrs. Stanely was born April 6, 1944, in Winthrop. She was a homemaker and a member of Avery Chapel Methodist Church in McCaskill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Stanley. Survivors include one son, John Forrest of Wickes; two daughters, Roberta Perez of Paris and Brandy Stanley of Van Buren; four step-daughters; one step-son; six sisters, Ann Tinkes of Lockesburg, Kay Canada of Booneville, Peggy Haney of Nashville, Thelma Harberson of Dierks and Nina Ward and Hildred Gray of Wickes; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
