Many mothers who are members at Morris had their children with them Sunday. J.W. and Maxine Glass had all their girls visiting Sunday: Liz Nunn and family, Karen Jobe and family, Deb Jackson and family, Pat McCullough and family and Pam Cleveland and family. Lucy Glass and Sidney lunched at Crossroads Buffet Sunday and then went to Mt. Moriah for afternoon singing. My children went to church with me. They were Don, Janice, Robert, Heather Cannon and Ryan Callicott, Cyril, Phyllis, Brandon and April Stewart and Amy Sweat. Emily Sweat Smith came from Wickes and also had lunch with us. Mike Rhodes of Little Rock spent the weekend with his mother, Louise. They were among those who attended singing at Mt. Moriah Saturday evening. Others from Morris who attended were Marsha and Bill Rhodes, Jerry Don and Anita Wicker, Cannon, Heather and Ryan Callicott, Janice Callicott and myself. Bro. Tal Webb and family visited his parents Sunday after church. Jane and Sam Bradshaw, Don and Peggy Fain of Camden and Russell and Kristie Stokes of Commerce, Texas, visited Bro. Junior and Ann Loe Sunday. Margie Reed had lunch with her daughter, Carolyn Hicks, and family Sunday. Church baseball league has begun. They played their first game Monday night at Kelly Field in Hope. Double C' Extension Homemakers Club will meet at Cale City Hall Thursday at 6:30. After business and the program, the club will be making slat-sun bonnets. Anyone wishing to make one is invited to attend. You do not have to be a member of EHC. You will need 5/8 (five-eighths) yard of 42-inch material or one yard any width, thread, scissors and machine if you have one. Dickey and Sandy Brown and family of Arkadelphia went to church with her parents, Bro. Raymond and Phanae Hicks, Sunday and had lunch with them. Gary Lee and Ritta Hicks also had lunch with his mother. Gary Lee has been in the hospital in Texarkana with a stomach virus. Don't forget Bible study at Morris Baptist Church Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. My sister, Pauline Blevins, and I attended the Blue Grass Festival in Hope for a little while Friday afternoon.
