Judy J. Mitchell ShackelfordBRAZZEL / CORNISH FUNERAL HOME of PRESCOTTPublished Wednesday, May 16, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Judy J. Mitchell Shackelford of Prescott died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope. Mrs. Shackelford was born in Prescott to Hatley and Cleo McCain Mitchell. She was a retired funeral director and former owner of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott and a member of the First Baptist Church of Prescott. Survivors include her husband, Henry Shackelford of Prescott; one daughter, Lynne May 14, 2001 Shackelford Bernhard of Baton Rouge, La.; one brother, Jewel Riley of Alexandria, La.; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Mitchell Bernhard of Baton Rouge, La. Funeral services were Saturday, May 12, at First Baptist Church in Prescott with Rev. Jerry Westmoreland and Rev. Milton Cowling officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
