Willie E. JonesHICKS FUNERAL HOME of HOPEPublished Wednesday, May 16, 2001 in the Gurdon Times Willie E. Jones, 95, of Okolona passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2001. Mrs. Jones was born to the late Nathan Pettus and Lucy McCloud on March 20, 1906, in Okolona. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Johnny Jones. To this union seven children were born. She was preceded in death by four sons. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Emma Harrington of Chicago, Ill., Jean Minnified of Dallas, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Tom Nathan and Elizabeth Jones of Okolona; 32 grandchildren; 53 great grand-children; great great grandchildren; one special nephew, Roger Horton; three special nieces, Lucinia Harris, Betty Calhoun and Attie Merle; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 12, at First Baptist Church in Okolona with Rev. Eddie Brown officiating. Burial was in Okolona Cemetery.
