Al-Anon, for those affected by another's drinking, meets Thursday evenings at 8:00 in the church. For more information call 887-5991. Mom's In Touch prayer group meets every Tuesday at 9 a.m. at First Baptist Church. A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be at the Nevada County Courthouse on Thursday, May 27, and Thursday, June 24. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind checks. To find out if you are eligible, call 1- 800-772-1213. All former students of Bodcaw School are invited to attend a reunion at Nevada County School on June 5 starting at 5 p.m. Complete dinners will be served for $12.50 each. The annual reunion of the former students of Bluff City School will be held Saturday, May 1, beginning at 10 a.m. in the Prescott Housing Authority community room located at the end of Hale Avenue behind the Nevada County Hospital. Take a finger food lunch. National Day of Prayer will be Thursday, May 6, after the Rotary Fish Fry at First Baptist Church in the gym. The annual business meeting of the Ebenezer Cemetery will be May 2 at 2 p.m. at Bluff City Baptist Church. Sheria S. and Billy Joe Todd Jr. of Prescott are proud to announce the birth of their son, MiQuavious Javen Todd, Thursday, April 15, 1999, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He weighed six pounds and five ounces and was 19+ inches long. Grandparents are Charles Young and Murdella Purifoy of Prescott and Francis and Calvin Lacy of Prescott. Big sister, MiKatra KeShun Todd, welcomed him home. Waldrop Cemetery near Willisville will have its annual work day May 1. Those interested in the cemetery should make plans to help. Descendants of Ben and Florence Wicker will have a reunion at the home of Jerry Don and Anita Joyce Wicker on Highway 200 (Cale Road) between Morris and Cale, Saturday, May 1. There will be a meeting of the PHS Band Booster Club Tuesday, May 4, at 7 p.m. in the Prescott High School band hall. The annual meeting of the Bluff City Cemetery Association will be held Sunday, May 2, at 2 p.m. in the Bluff City Church of Christ auditorium. The annual Bluff City community homecoming with dinner on the ground will be held Sunday, May 2. Emmet School board will have its regular monthly meeting Monday, May 3, at 7 p.m. in room 4. The agenda will include building program, elementary and high school principals' reports superintendent's report, summer school program and personnel matters. The annual homecoming and business meeting for the Weir Cemetery Association at Okolona will be Saturday, May 1. The meeting will be at 10 a.m. followed by a potluck lunch. White's Chapel Baptist Church will hold its annual homecoming Sunday, May 2. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. with devotional brought by Jerry Evans. Message will be by Bro. Bobby Joe Wright.
