The annual meeting of the Easley Cemetery board and membership will be Sunday, May 20, at 2:00 p.m. in the fellowship room of Hammonds Chapel Baptist Church in the Kansas community.

The descendants of Jesse and Mary Toland and Will and Nora Toland will be holding the Toland family reunion Sunday, May 20, at 12:00 noon at White Oak State Park. There will be a potluck luncheon served. For details call James Toland at 353-2616.

The annual Mauldin reunion will be held Saturday, May 26, starting at 10:30 a.m. at Gurdon Lake on Highway 67.

Everyone attending should take a dish for potluck.

The annual Kenneth Hughes family reunion will take place Sunday, May 27, at the home of Perry Don and Shirley Williams. All friends and relatives of the family are welcome. Be sure to take something for a potluck lunch.

Friend-Ship Sidewalk Sunday School will be held at Gurdon City Park Saturday, May 19, beginning at 1:00 p.m. All children are invited to play games, sing songs and hear a Bible story. Transportation to the park is available by calling 353-2804. It is sponsored by First Assembly of God.

The annual Gurdon area joint worship to be held Sunday, May 20, at 6:00 p.m. at Beech Street Baptist Church. This will also begin Associational Missions Week.

Annual Sunday school motivation program will be Sunday, May 20, at 5:00 p.m. at St. Clair Baptist Church, Burtsell community, with Rev. Daniel Thompson, pastor. Guest church will be Gennesaret Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charles D. Hood, pastor.

The board of directors of Central Arkansas Development Council will meet Monday, May 21, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Malvern Senior Adult Center, 836 Acme, Malvern. Public is invited to attend.

The board of directors of the Southwest Central Regional Solid Waste Management District will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday (today), May 23, at the offices of West Central Arkansas Planning and Development District in Hot Springs. Contact Linda Shaw for more information, (501)525-7577.

The Red River Baptist Associational children's camp will be June 25-28 at Camp Paron. Cost for each camper is $65. Camp director is Rusty Ross. Children who have completed third grade through sixth grade may attend. Call BSBC at 353-4971 for more information.

The Gurdon High School class of 1971 is planning its 30-year reunion. If you have addresses for graduates of 1971 call Dinah Buck at 353-4641 or Kathy Anderson at 353-3853.

The Red Springs Extension Homemakers Club meets every second Thursday of each month at the Gurdon Municipal building beginning at 10:00 a.m. Any interested person is welcome to attend.

The city of Gurdon reminds residents the storm sirens are tested every Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Sirens are not tested during inclement weather.

Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.
