The annual mission program will be Sunday, May 20, at 2:30 p.m. at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon. Everyone and all churches are welcome. We request the women to wear white. Sis. Vernessa Russey is president and Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

Officers and members of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church family of Gurdon will celebrate their pastor and his wife, Rev. and Mrs. Quintin Radford, and family on their fourth pastoral anniversary Sunday, June 3, at 3:00 p.m. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Special guests will include Rev. A.T. Jordan and Evergreen Baptist Church family of Nash, Texas.

The annual Willing Workers' program will be Sunday, June 24, at 2:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Guest speaker will be Sis. Marilyn Gatlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.A. Gatlin. Sis. Mattie Beasley is president and Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 12, at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Okolona for the late Mrs. Willie E. Jones (Mama Honey) who was 95 years old.

Little Miss Caleb Hodge of Houston, Texas, is the daughter of Mamie (Gatlin) and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gatlin, niece of Mary Ann Anderson, Delores Hodge, Vernessa Russey, Gloria Marks, Dorothy Gulley, and other relatives of Gurdon. She and Patricia of Little Rock, were the guest speakers for the mothers at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon, along with the Praise Dancers' under the direction of our youth director, Sis. Rose C. Crow, and Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor.

Mr. and Mrs. Jessy Jackson and family of Rex, Ga., visited his sisters, Earlene Jackson and Lorece (Sue) Muldrew of Okolona, other relatives and friends in Burtsell, Okolona and Gurdon and in-laws, the Haines of Malvern over the Mother's Day holiday.

Tim Christopher of Gardena, Calif., is here visiting his mother, Lois Christopher, sisters, Bonnie Cooper and family, Michelle Christopher and son and Tressia Muldrew and family, other relatives and friends in the surrounding areas. He also attended the funeral of his aunt, Lucille Flemons Monday, May 14, at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Cannan Baptisti Church of Gurdon with Rev. Johnny C. Harris, pastor.

Bobby Joe Brooks of Arkadelphia, son of Mrs. Claudine Brooks, passed away Friday. Funeral services are incomplete at this report.

Mrs. Inez C. Smith passed on early last month. She was the widow of the late Andrew D. Smith, mother of Gloria Prowell, Allanna I. Ferguson and the late Peggy A. Woods; sister of Carl Coleman, and Frances Stafford; many grand children, great grandchildren and other relatives. Her funeral was held on April 18.
