Benefit Barbecue At Blevins Fire Station On May 1Published Wednesday, April 28, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe 13th annual area-wide benefit barbecue for the Arkansas Children's Hospital will be held Saturday, May 1, at the Blevins Fire Station. Menu will consist of barbecue beef, pork and chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, dessert and tea. The cost will be $5 for adults and $2.50 for children 12 and under. Carry outs will be available. Serving time will start at 4 p.m. This year's entertainment will have a variety of music with the gospel group 'Spirit Wind' performing from 4:30 to 5:30. Randy McKinnon and the Bear Creek Boys will perform from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Starting at 7 p.m. there will be a cake auction. This year's benefit will be in memory of Bill Fowler. Everyone is invited to attend and support this special event. All proceeds will benefit the Arkansas Children's Hospital.
