A 32-year-old Donaldson woman has been charged with commercial burglary in connection with a break-in at the All Care Pharmacy.

According to court records, a call was made to the Prescott Police Department around 10:25 p.m. on April 24, as a witness saw someone break a window in the business.

PPD Criminal Investigator Morris Irvin responded and hid in some bushes across the street to watch the building in case the suspect returned.

A small red car approached the business, circling several times before leaving. Irvin called officer Steve Gullick for backup, telling him to hide his patrol car in the alleyway nearby.

Shortly thereafter, a woman walked across the front of the parking lot toward the broken window. Irvin watched as she looked around, moved a box inside the window and started to climb in.

Irvin and Gullick nabbed the woman, identified as Amy McDaniel, as she was trying to enter the business.

She has been charged with commercial burglary, a class C felony, carrying a sentence of 3-10 years in prison and a fine up to $10,000. McDaniel has been released on $5,000 bail.

The PPD is still looking for a second suspect in the case, an unidentified man.

Anyone with information concerning this case can contact the PPD. Their identity will be kept confidential.
