We have received a much needed rain.

Our son, Willie Hugh, spent Tuesday night with us. He and Willie went turkey hunting Wednesday morning, but they didn't hear a gobble.

Tim Jester, Lance and Lisa Beaver and boys; Bob and Lori Cummings, Amanda and Chance and Wilman Freeman of Gurdon had dinner Sunday with Jim and Judy Jester.

Bob Cummings is working for CenturyTel telephone company. He has spent a couple weeks at College Station, Texas, for extra schooling.

Buck Sloan is staying with Paul and Robin Ridgell while going to school at Prescott High School.

Mildred White is out of the hospital, but not well and needs our prayers.

We enjoyed having Bennie Walthall of Texarkana visit us Sunday afternoon. He also visited Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas Saturday. We are sorry to hear Donald Walthall had six heart bypasses Thursday in Little Rock. Get well soon, Donald.

Mildred Johnson is looking forward to her son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Georgia Johnson of Illinois, visit her this week.

It is unreasonable to expect others to listen to my advice and ignore my example.
