WENDY BONDS SPENCERPublished Wednesday, April 28, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneWendy Bonds Spencer graduates from the University of Alaska Anchorage on May 9 with a bachelors degree in business administration, major in accounting. Bonds is a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and she is on the chancellor's list. She is presently employed with Mikunda Cottrell and Co., Certified Public Accountants, in Anchorage. Bonds is the daughter of Johnny Bonds of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Lisa Ridgeway of Manila, Philippines. She is the granddaughter of Dorothy Smith of Prescott and the late John H. Smith and Dot Bonds of Hot Springs and the late Bob Bonds. Several from Prescott will be graduating at the Henderson State University commencement May 15 beginning at 9:00 a.m. Amy Renee McKinnon and Rebecca Elizabeth Williams will receive bachelor of business administration degrees in accounting. Receiving bachelor of science degree will be Melanie D. Glass in biology. Three will receive bachelor of science in education degrees: Dennis Carroll Pruitt in social science and Jennifer Robin Chambliss Avery and Jaslyn K. DeWoody in elementary education. Monica Marie Burton and Shawna Marie Hellums will receive bachelor of science degrees in nursing. George Ann Stallings, assistant professor, School of Business, will provide the faculty charge at the exercises in Carpenter-Haygood Stadium. Chemistry major, Jay Deville of Benton, La., will provide the student response. Candidates for graduation are asked to arrive at 8:15 a.m. In the event of rain, the ceremonies will be held in Arkansas Hall: the Ellis College ceremony will be held at 10 a.m.; the School of Education at 12 noon; and the School of Business at 2 p.m. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
