Congressman Ross To Speak At Graduation

U.S. Congressman Mike Ross will be the featured speaker at the Clark County Adult Education graduation ceremony to be held in the Peake School auditorium in Arkadelphia on May 31. The theme of this year's graduation is "You are a Star."

Friends and family members of the thirty-five graduating students will hear introductory remarks by State Sen. Percy Malone as well as from other local speakers at the 7:00 p.m. event, according to Carrol D. Forte, director of Clark County Adult Education.

Students will be honored at a banquet at Bowen's Restaurant on the evening prior to graduation ceremonies.

Gurdon residents scheduled to participate in the graduation are Jackie Lunsford, Suzanne Perkins, Timothy Powell, Jonathan Smith and Sergio Urguidi, all students at the Gurdon Adult Education Center at 107 N. Third Street.
