June 2 Nuptials Are Told For Griffin, McGalliardPublished Wednesday, May 9, 2001 in the Gurdon TimesJerry and Teresa Griffin of Gurdon announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Leslie Hope, to Brian Douglas McGalliard, son of Bob and Saundra McGalliard of Gurdon. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Helen Perrine of Gurdon and Sammy Lou Benson of Plain Dealing, La. She is a 1996 graduate of Gurdon High School. Hope is currently an employee of Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, where she is a registered nurse on the oncology unit. The prospective groom is the grandson of Ludie Tucker and the late Loye Tucker, and the late Maude and Pat McGalliard of Delight. He is a 1996 graduate of Gurdon High School. Brian is currently attending the School of Pharmacy at the University of Arkansas School of Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He will graduate with a doctorate degree in pharmacy May of 2003. The wedding will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, at Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon. A reception will follow the ceremony.
