Prescott School Squad Wins Awards At Special Olympics

The 2001 Special Olympics team from Prescott Schools came home with several ribbons Saturday, April 20.

Chesley Wolfe placed first in the girls' 50-meter dash and second in the girls' softball throw.

Vickie Jones placed fouth in the 50-meter dash and second in the softball throw.

Danielle Dougan placed third in the 50-meter dash and first in the softball throw.

Josh Newsom placed first in the boys' 50-meter dash and first in the softball throw.

Cameron Isaac placed second in the 50-meter dash and first in the tennis ball throw.

Jessie Gleason placed second in the shot put and first in the standing long jump.

The group expressed their gratitude to all local businesses who donated toward the purchase of uniforms for the team. They are Baker's Best Stop, Bank of Delight and McKenzie, McRae, Vasser and Barber. They also thanked the volunteers who helped put this event together.
