Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, September 15, 1999 in the Gurdon Times The 7th through the 10th was a busy week at the Gurdon center. USDA commodities were issued, bingo was played on Tuesday, Lloyd Baumgardner sang on Wednesday, Thursday National Park Medical gave blood pressure and blood sugar tests and Martha Bearden gave us some information on eggs on Friday. We who have high cholesterol need all the information we can get. The week of the 13th through the 17th Mary Benson will have music for us. Tuesday will be Teddy bear day. We will have some group singing on Wednesday. Special singing will be on Thursday with a trip to the fair. Tommy Hays and the square dancers will entertain on Friday. We have plenty of activities scheduled for the rest of September. Hope everyone is enjoying the cool weather. A special invitation is extended for you to come and join us. We will have guests this week. Everyone who attends seems to enjoy the center, a program of Central Arkansas Development Council and the United Way Agency.
