I'm sorry to have to report that Roscoe still isn't doing well. We had blood tests run this past week and learned that he is anemic. We went back to the doctor Monday and had a colonscopy and an upper endoscopy. Please remember us in your prayers.

We got word at church Sunday that Jim Dixon had a bad night, so Sue, his sister, and Royce Dixon left church to go to St. Michael. He still needs our prayers.

Next Sunday, May 6, Whites Chapel will have homecoming services. Bro. Jerry Evans will bring the devotional and Bro. Bobby Joe Wright will deliver the annual message. Everyone is invited.

Ila Carpenter and daughter, Alice Bennett, of W. Monroe, La., have recently made a trip to Plano, Texas, to visit Alice's daughter, Allison, and to Frisco, Texas, to visit Alice's son, Freddy, and his family. They also went to Arlington, Texas, to visit a friend of Ila's.

Claudie White recently celebrated his 83rd birthday. Out of town guests were Jim and Darlene Caswell of Houston and a couple from North Arkansas.

Stacy Faulkner entertained a group of ladies with a Tupperware party. The host didn't show up, but we had a party anyway. I think she was sick and unable to attend.

Otto and Lois Black of Haynesville visited Roscoe and me Saturday afternoon after the Willisville School reunion, held at Western Sizzlin in Hope from 9 until 2. They report a good crowd, good food and a good fellowship.

Our church had fifth Sunday singing Sunday night with an ice cream supper following the singing. Everyone enjoyed it very much and the singing was beautiful.

Valeria O'Keefe has been out of circulation this week due to a cracked rib, but I won't say how she got it. Remember her in your prayers.

Remember the fish fry at our church next Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be chicken for the ones who don't eat fish. Dessert will be served with the plate, which will be $6.
