Hendrix, Chalmers Wed In Local Ceremony

Jessica Ann Hendrix and Nicholas Adam Chalmers were united in marriage on March 4 at First Assembly of God Church in Prescott. Rev. Charles Mattix III of Springfield, Mo., performed the ceremony.

The background consisted of a heart shaped arch entwined with red roses and greenery. On both sides of the arch were seven tiered candelabras, entwined with greenery with white and gold gardenias accented with navy bows.

The unity candle consisted of greenery and red bows.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Junior Hendrix of Prescott.

She is the granddaughter of Wilma Compton and the late Clyn Compton of Prescott and also the late Elmer and Ohal Hendrix of Prescott.

The groom is the son of Wallace Chalmers of Denver, Colo., and Karen Johnston of Hartsell, Colo. He is the grandson of Walt and Mandy Johnston of Denver, Colo.

Lighting the candles was Nate Lucena of Prescott.

Micki Fendley, Ron Wright and Rachel Inscore sang during the ceremony. Michelle Hartman provided piano accompaniment.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a full-length gown accented with brocade flowers. The bride's veil was fashioned to a headpiece of white pearls and rhinestones. The bride's bouquet was made of red and white roses, baby breath and ivy made by her mother.

Shannon Henderson, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Stacy Stockton of Prescott, Sydney Beth Ross of Prescott and Jessica Chalmers, sister of the groom of Hartsell, Colo., served as bridesmaids.

The attendants wore floor length navy blue dresses and carried bouquets of red and white roses entwined with white ribbon made by the bride's mother.

The flower girls were Sarah and Jessica Hartman of Prescott. Ring bearer was Tyler Henderson, nephew of the bride.

Wallace Chalmers served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Casey Hendrix, brother of the bride, of Little Rock, Brian Henderson of Little Rock and Alex Ross of Prescott.

Serving as ushers were Joe Ghormley of Tulsa, Okla., and Tommy Ghormley of Little Rock, cousins of the bride. Guest book attendant was Courtney Ghormley of Tulsa, Okla.

Following the wedding a reception was held in the home of Jayne Randolph.

The bride's table was covered with a white floor tablecloth adorned with red and white roses. The heart-shaped wedding cake consisting of three tiered layers, adorned with white ribbon, which was made by Jayne Randolph. The bride's tables also had hand-pressed mints and punch.

The groom's table consisted of a scrumptious four-layer chocolate cake, also made by Jayne Randolph. His table also offered coffee, crackers and various meats and cheeses.

Serving at the bride's table were Darlene Henderson of Prescott and Carola Burrow of England.

Serving at the grooms table were Michelle Hartman of Prescott and Courtney Ghormley of Tulsa.

Brenda Prewitt and Leslie Russell assisted Ms. Randolph in the reception at her home.

Jessica and Nick are residing in Oahu, Hawaii, where Nick is a Lance Corporal with the United States Marines.

Rehearsal Dinner

Saturday, March 3, a dinner was hosted for the wedding party in the First Assembly of God fellowship hall. Decorations included red and white roses, navy blue candles and red heart-shaped accessories. Approximately 45 guests were in attendance.

Showers

A shower was given Monday, February 26, for Jessica Hendrix, bride-elect of Nick Chalmers. Ann Stockton and Faith Beavert hosted the shower in the upstairs of City Hall.

A miscellaneous shower was held at the First Assembly of God Church for Jessica Hendrix on February 7.
