Delight Sets Annual Cook-Off

Everyone is invited to the Southwest Arkansas Barbecue Association third annual state championship cook-off with a total pay-off of $5,000. The event will be all day, one mile east of Delight on Highway 26.

Saturday, May 5, a barbecue dinner will be served from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Adults prices will be $6 for the meal and $3 for children.

There will be live entertainment, car show, horseshoe contest and give-away items, which include a Kingfisher Kountry Kookers Smoker valued at $650 and a 14-foot War Eagle boat with 6-h.p. motor and Diamond City trailer valued at $3,000.

The proceeds will go to benefit the Delight Volunteer Fire Department, Pike County Auxiliary Deputy Association and Delight Baseball Association.
