Dr. Ross Featured Speaker At EmmetPublished Wednesday, May 2, 2001 in the Nevada County PicayuneBaccalaureate services for Emmet High School will be held Sunday afternoon, May 6, at 2:30 p.m. in the Emmet School cafetorium. Dr. Gene Ross will be the baccalaureate speaker. Dr. Ross is superintendent of schools of Emmet, where he has served since 1988. Dr. Ross received the doctor of education degree from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas, in 1983. He is a member of the Midway United Methodist Church, where he serves as a lay speaker. He is married to the former Frances Avery and they have one son, Congressman Mike Ross, his wife, Holly, and two wonderful grandchildren, Sydney Beth, 12, and Alex, 8.
