Ramon Douglas WaltersRUGGLES / WILCOX FUNERAL HOME of ARKADELPHIAPublished Wednesday, May 2, 2001 in the Gurdon Times Ramon Douglas Walters, 47, of Elkhart, Ind., formerly of Gurdon, died Monday, April 30, 2001, at his sisters home in Elkhart. Mr. Walters was born December 4, 1954, in Gurdon, the son of Roland and Pauline Hunter Walters. He was a 1971 graduate of Gurdon High School. He was employed on Antiqua Island for CSR (Computer Science-Raytheon) Company until his illness in October 2000. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Roland and Hazel Walters of Gurdon; one brother, Don Walters of Blue Springs, Mo.; two sisters, Peggy Leamons of Curtis and Linda Chisholm of Elkhart, Ind.; two step-brothers, Jerry Hastings of Gurdon and Phillip Hastings of Harmony Grove; and nine nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 3, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Rod Chisholm officiating. Family hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral Home.
