McRae Quiz Bowl Team Is A WinnerPublished Wednesday, April 25, 2001 in the Nevada County PicayuneStudents from McRae Middle School recently won a second place trophy at the Arkansas Governor's Regional Quiz Bowl match. By winning a second place tropy the students were eligible to advance to the state triple A finals in Dardanelle, the first team from Prescott ever to advance to the state finals. The students finished with a third place trophy, the highest honor a quiz bowl team from Prescott has ever achieved. The quiz bowl team was honored by the School board and a Chamber of Commerce coffee was held in their honor sponsored by the Prescott Association for Challenging Education. The members of the quiz bowl team include Josie Niemyer, Ben Hale, Brittany Pedigo, Samantha Gordon, Ryan Roberson and Aaron Bullock. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
