A representative of the Texarkana Social Security office will be in Prescott at the courthouse Thursday, April 26, May 24 and June 28.

Supplemental Security Income pays monthly checks to people who are aged, disabled or blind and who do not own much or have much income. SSI is not just for adults. Monthly checks can be paid to disabled and blind children. To find out if you are eligible call 1-800-772-1213.

To any woman who would like to get together with another woman to pray may get in touch with the local area contact person of Moms in Touch, Beth Ward, at 870-887-6376.

For the past three years the local schools have been covered in prayer by a group of moms who meet on Tuesdays at 1:45 at First Baptist Church to pray for one hour.

Pleasant Hill Cemetery's annual clean-up will be Saturday, April 28, at 9:00 a.m. Those working need to take mowers, Weed-eaters, tools, and elbow grease. There will be visiting with old friends as well.

In lieu of working you may send a donation to Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association, Rt. 5 Box 89A, Prescott, AR 71857.

Players, coaches and umpires are needed for the various age-group softball teams now forming. For more information call Bobbie Brown at 887-3430.

The annual Ebenezer Cemetery clean-up day will be held April 28.

The annual Ebenezer Cemetery meeting will be held May 6 at 2 p.m. at Bluff City Baptist Church.

Homecoming will be held at White's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church between Willisville and Bodcaw Sunday, May 6, with services at 10:30 a.m.

Devotion will be by Jerry Evans and the message will be delivered by Bobby Joe Wright. Potluck will be served afterwards. Singing will be at 1:30 p.m.

There will be a singing at Rosston Baptist Church April 29 at 6 p.m. Guest singers will be Saved by Grace,' and others. An ice cream supper with be held afterwards.

Rosston Baptist Church youth will be having a Fish Fry fund-raiser Saturday, May 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Dinners will include fish, fries, slaw, beans, hush puppies, dessert and drink. All proceeds will go to help with expenses of summer activities.

The Prescott Alternative School will host the Chamber of Commerce coffee Thursday, May 3. The coffee will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Ila Upchurch Community Center. Everyone is encouraged to attend and tour the building.
