Rosston News

We would like to send sympathy to the family of Odeal Dillard. She passed away Friday morning. Funeral was Monday at Rosston Church. Lunch was served by Rosston ladies. Burial was in Rosston Cemetery. Bro. Mark Faulkner, our pastor, officiated and Steve Dillard, her grandson of Little Rock, assisted. Please pray for this family.

We also extend sympathy to the Darrel Shipp family of Tennessee. He passed away recently.

Bro. Richard Miller, a missionary to the FiGi Islands, brought our message Sunday morning. He and his wife Jeannie rendered a beautiful message in song.

The Luck family had fellowship at the Hurrah Patch on Friday and Saturday. They report a good number present and good fellowship.

Jim Dixon has been moved from ICU in St. Michael to the sixth floor. Continue to pray for him as he is not out of the woods yet. His address is Otis Dixon, Room S636, c/o St. Michael Dubuis Hospital, Texarkana, TX 75503.

Paul Broussard will go to Little Rock Wednesday to have an arterigram. Please pray for him.

Roscoe went to Little Rock Monday to his sleep disorder doctor. We will go back on the seventh for a sleep test and will see a surgeon Tuesday to see if he can have surgery to correct the sleep apnea problem.

Lee Jarvis has not been feeling well this week.

Gerry Sue Gibson is home from M.D. Anderson's in Houston, but she still needs our prayers.

Willisville School reunion will be next Saturday.

Next Sunday night Rosston will sponsor a fifth Sunday singing with an ice cream supper following. Save By Grace of Laneburg will be featured, along with other singers. Everyone is invited. Services begin at 6 p.m.

Rosston youth are sponsoring a fish supper from 5 to 7 p.m. plates are $6 each. Please participate to help our youth. Desserts will be served.

Joey Wallace's brother and wife and two beautiful children were our guests Sunday night. Sunday morning Alan and Keri Russon were in church with their precious new baby boy, Andrew. Daisy Malone was also a guest. I can't remember her married name.

Ted and Amy Morman spent the weekend in Pine Bluff with their mother.

Christi Taylor attended a state FBLA meeting in Little Rock Friday and Saturday and she won second place in public speaking. Congratulations, Christi, keep up the good work.

I attended the wedding shower for Todd and Mary Beth Cross Sunday afternoon at the home of Jim and Eddie Jane Cross. They received lots of nice and useful gifts. There was a good crowd and the refreshments were delicious.
